A natural disaster, or calamity, can be defined by an event such as a volcano eruption, a major hurricane, a forest fire, a flash flood, mud slides, to name a few. And, there have been many in the history of mankind. In years past, there wasn't the technology present to warn people from impending doom. As a result many more people died. Today, there is sufficient technology that allows scientists, and alike, to be able to predict, or at the very least, warn of natural disasters natural calamities.
