Scabiosa

The scabiosa, from the Dipsacaceae family, is a lump-forming perennial which typically grows only 12-15" tall. It's commonly known as the pincushion flower, and grows in zones 5 to 9. Its lavender blue, lilac or creamy white flowers bloom from April to the first frost. It has showy flowers and attracts butterflies.
