Simple Predicate
Because the simple predicate works with the simple subject, let's begin there. Every sentence has two basic parts, your subject and the predicate. The subject is the part of the sentence that names 'whom' or 'what' the sentence is about. Then the predicate is the word or group of words that tells what the subject is doing or being.
