Titanic Facts

The Titanic sank in the early morning hours of April 15, 1912. This ship was built to be the biggest and fastest luxurie boat. It was also supposed to be the "unsinkable". What had caused the massive ship to sink was being struck by a massive iceberg, that had cut into the ship leaving a open wound.Of the 1523 people of perished in the sinking of the Titanic, only 306 bodies were recovered.Most of the survivors were actually 1st class men. Also most of the emergency boats where only half full. The ship it self was over 40 thousand tons and took 3 years to build, running a cost of over 7 million dollars. It is one of the most shocking tragedies in history.
