Urbanization Problems

Urbanization problems include a variety of issues brought on by our every changing society. Over the past fifty years there has been a movement of the population from the urban areas to the suburban areas. This movement has caused a loss of revenue for the urban areas because their tax dollars went with them. Most urban areas are often plagued with traffic congestion, overcrowded schools, pollution, drug abuse, racial descrimination, segregation, and over burdened city resources. There is a higher congestion of people left in the urban areas, usually in the lower income range, that depend on government support. This creates even a higher demand on city governments to provide the services needed. To find out more regarding these urban problems visit http://urban.org/publications/405677.html.
