Independance day is the national holiday that America has adopted to commemorate the signing of the Decalaration of Independance in 1776. This is when we decalred our independance from the Brittish. It is celebrated to remember the day the US Constitution was ratified. Popular activites on July 4th (Independance Day) are cookouts, parties, and fireworks.
