Car Sputters When I Accelerate
Many fuel system and ignition problems can make a car sputter when it accelerates. Clogged fuel lines or filter may be starving the carburetor or injectors. I have this same problem with my car you could go to a shop and have them check your egr valve to see if this is the problem. They can block off...

My car sputters when accelerating, and sounds like it is going to quit. If I accelerate slowly it's fine, and it runs fine unless accelerating. How can I fix this. Not sure... ... Not sure what kind of car, but it sounds like it may be the throttle position sensor gone bad.

Is the engine lite on? if a misfire shows, and the plugs are new, could be coil or wires. how does... ... When i accelerate from a start and cruising the car has a hard time accelerating. It shakes a lot and sputters. I replaced the spark plugs and air filter. What could it be???? Please i need help ASAP!

The car sputters very badly when put in gear and you press the gas. In idle, it’s pretty steady, although it sometimes stumbles but for the most part, it seems pretty steady. You can punch it in idle and the engine will rev up, with a slight hesitation but then climbs up normally.

Just curious, how long has the car sat with the existing gas in the tank? If it's been a while, you definitely should take the gas tank out and clean it out and get some good gas in there, also replace the fuel filter if you haven't yet.
