its easy to derestrict a moped all you will need to do is take out the baffle and have the carb rejetted. and that will do it all for you in no time. there's other things you can do by tinkering with the carb set-up to get more power.

In some countries the mopeds are sold unrestricted, they are exactly the same as the UK peds. No damage will be done to the moped unless the derestriction is done wrong or it is held at full revs/speed for very long periods of time. ... Though im not entirely sure how they switch about the starting method for each bike!
