The Kawasaki Drifter Indian can be traced back to the Indians of the past 1930s into the 1940s. When Kawasaki released the ultra retro styled 1500 Drifter in 1999 it seemed to be an old ;memory of Indian back in the 1930-1940s. The 800 Drifter is popular in Europe not in the US as it is said that the Europeans are more appreciative of it. Even though the 800 is a smaller model there are no complaints on its handling.
