Just how much trouble can you go through to cancel AOL ... AOL needs to rethink thier marketing plan. They don't pick thier battles and as a result no one is ever going to recommend them to thier friends espically after this. I also kind of feel sorry for the rep.

Needless to say, I encourage everyone to cancel their AOL accounts - better, faster and cheaper internet access is readily available from providers who do not jerk their customers around or steal from them.

RE: AOL cancellation - unable to cancel account ... They said there was no cancellation or pending cancellation entered. I told them again to cancel it. In November i checked to see if my AOL serove was still active by trying to sign on to AOL. I was able to sign on, so i called and said to cancel it.
