It could be his lymph node, even if it is only moderately swollen. I had this happen and it was extremely painful to the touch.

Anyway, I woke up this Monday morning with this pain more of a soreness type of pain (dull, aching type) in my right armpit - more in the very upper part of my armpit. Not sure its my muscle or not. But the pain feels like its in my muscle or that's where it seems to hurt when ... Both armpits look identicial in the mirror.

Question: pain in armpits into breast area ... Monica, Pain under the armpits is not one of the hallmarks of cancer. Usually, if there is a lymph node enlargement that is from Hodgkin's disease or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma it presents as a painless swelling.
