This is not an "air fuel bomb" and the proper term is FAE for Fuel Air Explosive, it is just a bomb. Also I find that capturing hydrogen in the bottles is the best and inflating a ballon with that, because of it’s density it will float up into the sky before it blows up.

Update: Danger Room thinks this might (note: might) have been a crude attempt at a very sophisticated weapon — a fuel-air bomb that packs enormous explosive power due to the unusually length of the blast. Maybe this is the equivalent of Iraqo jihadis using chlorine bombs to crudely replicate chemical weapons.

The "thermobaric" weapon, being designed by Ministry of Defence scientists, is based on technology in "fuel-air" bombs used by Russian troops in Grozny, the Chechen capital, with an impact similar to that of a tactical nuclear weapon.
