On May 26, I tried your method for water germinating some amaryllis seeds, and today (two weeks later) some have sprouted. How long should I wait to transfer them to a pot? By the way, I felt all the seeds for the inner bulge and separated them in two water dishes.

Hi, I'd love to hear from anyone with info on best way to sow/germinate amaryllis seeds-- did you use clay pots, plastic or jiffy pots, etc? When do you transplant them? Do you need to use a heating mat? I'd appreciate any and all info since I have zero experience in planting anything from seed.

Q: I have propagated some seeds from a flowering amaryllis. Two of the seeds rooted and formed leaves, but have died back. This is their second year and one of them has formed more leaves than last year. I am not sure if and when they will flower, but I am prepared to wait.
