I have bought my wife a new Dell Lap top PC and I do not know what the Ambit Cable Modem Model # Uioc018 passphrase or Secutity Key is. I have typed in the defalt “USER” but it still does not except it. I am also running my main unit from it by way of a cable and also my wifes older E Machine Lap top is wireless.

After rebooting the modem and router, we had connection but it has continued like this for two days. Today Charter sent out a tech again, and he could find nothing wrong. He did say that they were having problems with this modem from Ambit and suggested I buy my own and get a cable modem called Surfboard by Motorolla.
