Can anyone tell me what Andomyosis is? I am a 36 yr old woman who has been having irregular periods, I have been on several birth control pills and have been bleeding almost non-stop for a little over a month. I have to go have a pelvic and trans vaginal ultrasound done to see if there is something more going on.

Yesterday had US done and came back as andomyosis. I have been online doing a bit of research and doesn't seem like we have any support groups in Australia. The only long term treatment they have for andomyosis is a hysterectmy and I still want to have children.

He said I have something called andomyosis (i don't know if i am spelling that right) which is a form of endometriosis. Endometriosis is th endometrium of your uterus growing out and onto your pelvic region, and andomyosis is where the endometrium grows into the muscular wall of your uterus.
