Asked the teacher why they couldn't have a caucasian club. Of course the response from some of the other students ranged from, "Because it would racist", 'Yeah why can't we," Because my family were slaves and it would be racist." These were comments that kids in his class said.

And ironically, most of the folks in the "true Caucasian" group are (very roughly) closer in appearance to Middle Easterners or Mexicans than "white folks". Darker skin and black hair are almost standard (with a few exceptions of course).

In 1943 the Texas legislature unanimously passed a wartime resolution guaranteeing "Caucasians" equal access to public accommodations. Since the state of Texas had, at various points, officially accepted people of Latin American descent as Caucasian, the resolution was aimed at them.
