Im a 19D Cavalry Scout, and on my 2nd tour in Iraq, if you are set on joining the Army combat arms such as 19D is definetly the way to go since you could always be a mechanic or cook or all the other non-combat jobs in the civilian sector, its kinda like why join the Army unless you want to do the things movies about...
