I built model kits as a kid, and rediscovered the hobby when I turned 40 (in 1998). These aren't quite the Aurora models of old (that's not entirely true; some of them actually are the old Aurora models!); a lot of them are so-called "garage" kits made of hard resin that require an awful lot of work.

I was born about 10 years too late to actually purchase any of the original Aurora models. Fortunately my Dad collected them and has passed on to me several built ups. I remember having a choice of one each week to display on my dresser as a kid.
