I received the same message "Bios is not ACPI Compliant" ... I am trying to upgrade my laptop running Windows XP to the RC1 build of Vista and get a stop error during setup that tells me my BIOS is not ACPI compliant.

I've somewhat narrowed it down to the Asus A8n32-sli Deluxe Mother Board since Asus' tech support told me to try and swap out hardrives...

Just built a system with a gigabyte 7vrx motherboard (VIA KT333) and when i boot up in windows i get a blue screen which says my bios is not ACPI compliant. Any ideas on how to fix this?What is ACPI? When i turn off the master power switch on the PSU and reboot, the blue screen doesnt show.
