If you struggle with vocabulary, keep a pocket dictionary with you and look up unfamiliar words as you encounter them. ... I don't regard myself as something intellectually outstanding, but I'm striving to become the cleverest possible, it's one of my goals. It seems to me I could now define ... As this environment usually consists of people less intelligent, than we would like to become ourselves, this influence is for the most part negative.
