In Italy we have luthier schools where you can graduate and become a luthier. A luthier is a craftsman who's able to build a superior quality stringed instrument such a cello, violin, almost every kind of acoustic guitar, mandolin etc from scratch.

Hi, I started this topic on 9 March 2007 because I really want to become a luthier and I could find no help on the matter. If anyone has any advice about becoming a luthier I would appreciate it a lot. ... I'm not a luthier myself, but here are a few suggestions:
