So, according to Biocentrist thought (nature-centred philosophy) humans are irredeemably estranged from nature - or were never part of it in the first place - because 'human' is posited as the opposite of 'nature' (Anthropocentrism versus Biocentrism).

There is also the option to point out a resolutional flaw in that all discussions of biocentrism and anthropocentrism are by default anthropocentric as it is humans who are carrying on the discussion, and despite our best efforts we cannot howl for the wolf or screech for whales.

Until today I had not heard of the words "biocentrism" or "anthropocentrism." After some brief research I have determined that biocentrism is rooted in advocating that nature must be a priority for humans while anthropocentrism sees the human being as made in the image of God, and possessing a divine soul.
