Bitumen Properties The bitumen sample from Athabasca has API gravitiy of around 8.5. Fig.7 and Fig.8 show dependency of bitumen density and viscosity on temperature respectively. It is infered that the bitumen has less mobility at low temperature in original resevoir condition.
