We’ve been receiving multiple reports that BlackBerry Internet Service, or BIS, is down for many people — possibly worldwide. The new server, just unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, is currently only available in Europe is for personal users of the Blackberry email service. For those who choose to use the server in their homes, Blackberry outages will no longer be a concern - if the server goes down, they have no one but themselves to blame.

Ruh roh, did RIM have another widespread BlackBerry outage? Reports are popping up all across the internets that since as early as this morning BlackBerry users were unable to get their email on T ... My company uses BBs from a few service providers, and we didn't have many (if any) mass outages from out 2000+ phones.

Seems that only the blackberry network has frequent prolonged outages. I'd be out of a job if the services I'm in charge of were that unreliable, and I don't have nearly as much revenue. Maybe RIM is just incompetent?
