A quick Internet search suggests that 'normal bladder capacity' is regarded as 400 to 600 ml. By normal capacity I take it they mean the maximum volume that can be tolerated without *severe* discomfort by someone without any particular urinary problems.

This is a great scientific question. On average, the adult bladder can hold a maximum of about 13 ounces of fluid. I once had to "hold it" for a long time & produced about 17 ounces of fluid, but I don't think it's a good idea...
