I mean my poor friend is getting up 5 or 6 times a night to pee...she's tired all day from these visits!!! She also pees all day long and as I suspected, she does have a cystocele. I am so worried for her because I know they will suggest the sling surgery to "tie up the bladder".

Next in thread: John R. Miklos M.D.: "Re: Post-op bladder tie-up surgery" ... After bladder tie-up, is it usual to have the cathedar taken out after 6 days and then have it reinserted the same day? Is it usual to not be able to void on the 6th day after surgery after one's cathedar has been out for 5 hours?

My mother had surgery to have her bladder tied up 8 days ago and is feeling just fine. She was very excited about the procedure after being miserable for 25 years ... They went up through her vagina and placed a mesh net and then made a very small incision above her pubic bone to insert the instruments to tie it up with.

SUI is not truly a problem of the bladder, ... Two things are important to support you lying on the hammock, the ropes that tie it to the base (connective tissue) and the strength of the actual canvas (vaginal wall). ... The tape is then pulled up through two tiny incisions in the skin's surface just above the pubic area.

I had surgery again to tie up the bladder and rectum. Here it is about 6 months after surgery and the symptoms of lower back pain and the "pulling" feeling are back. I have noticed a small ball shape but the surgeon says that the bladder is still up.

I call Dr. Roll's office in the a.m. and the nurse tells me that my insurance has approved the surgery. They give me a list of the appointments I have to make: Blood work. Blood gases. Gall bladder sonogram. ... She also tells me that when I wake up after surgery, I'll have a tube down my nose to drain fluid out of my stomach.
