If its not working as described, call your mobile service provider to have them walk you through what needs to be done. Just remember to emphasise to them on if you want to be able to temporarily block outgoing call info on your own or to block all outgoing caller ID info.

Hello, I am trying to block outbound caller id for everyone using a phone from our office. I have already done the following: ch trunk zz, and changed the send name and send number options to "n". Now, when calls are made from the office, they appear as our area code only of caller id.

If your talking about when you call sombody and you don't want your name or number to come up on there caller ID you dail *67 before the number. i hope i answered your question. I'm not saying that isn't possibly true, but it'd be news to me and I'm usually pretty up on caller ID related things. There might be some states with regulations requiring it. But as I understand it, the services to permanently block caller ID on outgoing calls can be charged, but the per-call blocking of it must be free.

There were some justifiable concerns that some people (battered wives, undercover policemen) might be endangered or subject to harassment (doctors, lawyers, celebrities) by Caller-ID. As mentioned above there are several legitimate ways to either block Caller-ID or to have it return a different number.
