I've noticed that mold will just form in almost an ... I'm pretty sure that the mold found on bread is from the Phylum Zygomycota. Their spores are dispersed by wind and are probably in the air around you now. Any bread with moisture and exposed to the air will begin to grow mold if spores land on it.
