I know of two older children still at the breast. One is 6 and the other is almost 8 years old. I think they will wean when they are ready. I didn't breastfeed my kids because I didn't think I would feel comfortable doing it. But, I can't see breastfeeding an 8 year old. It ticks me off ... --- rats I had another thought and it is gone - oh yeah one aside to all this -- In some countries it is normal for mother's to nurse their children up to 5 yrs or more.
