A: If you're looking for the sub that will deliver maximum SPL (play loudest), you need to consider sensitivity, enclosure type, and available power. ... Q: How many subwoofers can I hook up to my amplifier? Can I bridge my amp and run two in parallel?

Also, keep in mind that most amplifiers need to see a 4-ohm load when bridged to mono operation. If you want to bridge your amp, you should use one 4-ohm speaker or, if you prefer multiple woofers, wire two 8-ohm speakers in parallel.

the amp can not handle that sub bridged, it is a 2 ohm load if it is a dual 4, you will get either and 2 or 8ohm load for that sub. You need a single 8 or a dual ... hi guys, was thinking of building a car sub amp myself. want to know if anyone ... As already indicated by LBM, most common chips can not hold more than 3Amps so theoretically you can not have more than 12v x 3A = 36W leave out few watts as losses, even with bridge mode they are not much efficient (read music to ears).

I'd use the Punch amp & just turn down the gain so that you don't blow it & you should be fine; OR; Just buy another 10" sub & have 2 subs and then bridge the amp (if needed)....that's what I did!
