This past Saturday the 26th, my left armpit area was irritating me, I say irritating because it felt like a razor burn. I felt my underarm and found a pea size lump. I did a self breast exam and do not feel any other lumps. ... A related discussion, Quarter size bump under arm pit was started.

Lumps in the armpit have various causes. Cysts and infections on the surface of the skin of the armpit may be caused by shaving or use of antiperspirants (as opposed to deodorants). This occurs most frequently in adolescents just beginning to shave.

I just noticed (this morning) a pain under my right arm, by my armpit. I just got my period and wonder if there is any correlation? bump under my armpit; I'm going crazy; Apr 14, 2002 ... as of a few days now i've noticed a bump under my right armpit,it does look like a swollen node. I'm just worried. your lymph nodes are located in the armpit area and when they get swollen or tender to the touch, it usually means that they are trying to clean out some kind of infection ... I noticed a bump like that in my armpit area as well, it is farily large and very tender to the touch, it also seems to be bruising. Is that normal?
