Problem for Car CD Changers ... - I tried it this morning, careful to have the key in the ACC position and pressed eject and there was no sound of "whir" --- there was only silence. Tried with the radio button pushed in for "on" and "CD" pressed and also with radio button pressed to "off" position.

the cd player in my friend's 1993 celica convertible won't eject the cd. when she pushed the eject button, all it does ... This happened to me and all I did was disconnecting the battery for about 30 seconds. That usually resets the stereo to factory defaults (you will loose all radio presets). This finally ejected my CD.
