Update CPU Microcode Xtreme BIOS ... This means that the only thing to get the 45nm fully working should be a bios update in which the CPU microcode is updated. How does one do that? Impossible to do it on your own (asked Asrock, no answer yet)? Does someone know how to do it and willing to help me out?

In any case this is not (only) a case of missing microcode, the CPU detection routine doesn't know the PIII either. If the processor used isn't a Coppermine but an oldschool Katmai room heating, the BIOS must be rather old indeed.

Description of problem: Any chance of switching to the latest intel cpu microcode data file (microcode.dat) in time for fedora 11? I thought that since we're using the microcode upload feature, might as well be using the latest version of microcode.dat for processor errata fixes & optimisations.
