If your camera has an adjustable diopter built-in (most later ones do), you will find that it doesn't go as far as -5 but might go to -2 or -3. So you would need maybe a -2 or -3 diopter because the values are additive (i.e. if the camera is set on -2 and you install a -3 then you have -5 effectively).
