I agree, mute people are so rare, and you don’t always recognize it, as you might think they are just shy or whatever. I met one young girl who was mute, she could hear fine, she wasn’t deaf or hard of hearing.

So, people who are born profoundly deaf in both ears cannot hear ANY of the sounds of human speech, even with "hearing aids." As a result, they cannot pronounce the sounds of human speech well, and they are called "mute." But these people are NOT really "mute" at all!

I open up the page, I can see the slides, I can hear people speaking, but I don't see anything. ... C. Your player volume, click on the Test your Player link, when the application opens, adjust the volume and click the mute button on and off to see if you can get audio.
