Deaf people are obviously not mute. We can use our voice. We can laugh loudly, and speak to a certain degree if we desire to, never mind if it makes sense or not. We have a voice that is produced by the larynx (voice box).

ive heard it before a laugh might come out as a wheeze or a dry cough. It does not sound like a haha but it is a small noise. As for crying, im sure liquid could pour from their eyes if mute but the noise would be same as a laugh.
