I guess it would show up any weak areas, but if it took a while to get the rest of the work done the rest of the body would be sitting there unprotected (albeit in my garage). ... If you acid dip, then you MUST acid etch prime the complete car immediately or it will just get a covering of surface rust virtually straight away.

There was a series of questions about Acid Dipping a car in Texas. I've done three cars so far at Metal Rehab in Arlington, Texas south of I-20. I've never had a seepage problem. After each dip they power wash the body and Gem coat to retard surface rust.

that glass tank was filled with about three liter of acid. then mohan lal use protection on his eyes. then he rubbed some red chilly paste on his body parts and then taken a dip in that acid tank. he have wait for some time in that acid tank and hold his breath for a while.

They will also have to acid dip it and you might have to drill drain holes etc to make sure there's no acid left. ... so whats the verdict could i do this to an entire car body if i could find a shop large enough to handle it. for the most part i would think any shop that could dip a frame could do the body.

I am currently in the stage of my project to have my 67 body acid dipped. I am wondering if anyone has done this, results, and such. Also, if anyone knows of anywhere in the Bay ...
