The car starts up fine drives fine for the most part, but when I come to a stop light or when I stop the idle gets really low as if the car wants to cut off. Sometimes the car does cut off. Ok, so I bought my 1970 Opel GT about a month ago and it did not idle but would stall unless you gave it gas. ... I have a hard time understanding how a professional mechanic would of let you take the car in that condition, without elaborating on the problem, (sounds like float adjustment for one) he must of seen it first...

Other then the high idle and high rev when putting the car in park in ran better. Can anyone explain this? There has to be something else wrong. what will normally happen when you have a bad EGR ... i'm having a problem with the idle of my car right now. The rpm is alternating high and low while on idle and works fine when it running. the problem started after i replaced to of my fuel injectors because of leacks.
