Subject : Carpet Eating Pest? ... I now keep a close eye for the eggs but have not had a problem since - the moth balls seem to keep them away. You need to put them down at this time of year as this is when they lay their eggs. The larvae feed on the carpet - they look like little brown tubes with the larva inside.
