I have a cat who will suck on cloth and purr and when he does that he drools. But he's done it since he was a kitten--it didn't start later in life. My guess--and I'm not a vet--is that it's ... My cat has started to drool profusely. She has been to the vet who descaled her teeth. It didnt stop the drooling. We took her back but the vet is unable to see a reason why it is happening. She is up to date with her jabs.

As the owner of such a cat, I interpret the flow of saliva as the utmost compliment. At the veterinary office, however, patients rarely drool with glee. In a veterinary setting, drooling more likely signifies that something is amiss.
