I use plain white vinegar for control of athlete's foot fungus in bathtubs, as well as soap scum buildup, and it worked wonderfully to kill the mold growing on unsealed decking boards. It also didn't kill the plants growing around the deck, like any of the commercial products would have.

Hi there, we have slacked off on using the squeegee on our 1 yr old glass shower doors and now we have a film that appears to be soap scum that will not come off. The door that is always closer to the shower head will not come clean no matter what we do and the door that is not getting splashed as much looks brand new.
