With life spans as high as 9 or 10 years (sometimes more), chameleons are definitely not, and should never be impulse purchases. My pesonal favorite, the Panther chameleon, originates from Madagascar. The Panther chameleon is a very colorful type of chameleon, and mainly has four color phases, the Ambanja, Rainbow, Nosey Be Blue, and Red.
