Fold one end around the child’s wrist and fasten with velcro. Fold the other end around your own wrist. The problem with this design is that it doesn’t take long before the child figures out how to unfasten the wrist restraint.

I had to share my experience with the dreaded child leash. I always thought it was strange and somewhat twisted to see a child on a harness. But then I gave birth to triplets and thought Id never be able to venture out without six little feet pitter pattering off in different directions.
