Over 300 wild ponies live along Assateague Island and they can be seen with their foals 7 days a week, May 16th - Oct. 11th on the boat tours. Visitors see wild ponies in many areas where the ponies live because Assateague Explorers' (Chincoteague native) captain knows where to travel each day along the island.
