The following pictures are of a coat of plates that I made for my own use for SCA combat. It is very closely based on the Wisby #1, Type I coat of plates from the Wisby archeological finds.

How I Made My Coat of Plates ... Actually making the coat of plates is really easy since there is little skill involved. At most, the most skilled acts you will do in this project are taking correct measurements and bending the plates so they uniformly fit your body.

I've already made one coat of plates, in fact it was the first armouring project I ever completed. That COP was done with the help of my friend Sir Christian. It has served me well and though it is a simple one with no dagging or special fixings it has been admired by some.
