its not the actual wing clipping.. its holding the cockatiel the right way so he wont keep biting me. this is his first wing clipping since the pet store.. is it best to hold him around the body with 1 wing free? i dont really have anyone else to help me.

Thread: wing clipping a moody cockatiel ... It's not a good idea to clip only one wing because this can force a bird to loose balance. You don't want to clip too many feathers, start off with 4 feathers clipped on each side, and see if the bird can glide or fly.
