Then, after about 2-3 minutes, powers on by itself, and reboots back into windows. There are no error messages. I downloaded and installed any available bios updates from Compaq. Oddly, if I unplug the machine while it is powered off, and then plug it back in, it does not power back up on ... Re: Computer reboots itself...

Computer Reboots Itself, randomly, or when cable modem unplugged ... Now, it reboots itself and I can't figure out why or what triggers it. Sometimes, when the computer has been off all night, I turn it on to try to check my email, etc., and it reboots within a minute after startup (so it doesn't seem to be a heating issue).
