This computer has the automatic shutdown feature when you tell it to shut down. The problem starts when you are running other programs and all of the sudden the computer shuts down and powers off or restarts which ever one you told it to do last when i made a propper shutdown. ... computer shuts off by itself and psu smell...

After being powered on for a minute or two, the computer shut itself down. ... But, he didn't have a Linux CD, so I suggested booting to the BIOS setup screen and walking away. If the computer was still running after a while, the problem was with Windows. If it turned itself off again, then it was a hardware problem.
