Concreteness: Concrete communication is definite, specific, and vivid rather than general or vague. Whenever possible, exact words and figures should be used rather than general words, as general words may have different meanings for the sender than for the receiver of the communication.

One that I think is poorly understood is "Concreteness". That is, an idea has a greater chance of success if it is very tangible. This means that a nice idea like saving the rain forest, while a good idea, has less chance to succeed than an idea ... Actually, all of our communication needs to be concrete to be effective.
