Continuous Lap Sleeve Placket 12.340 In blouses and shirts, the lower sleeve opening is important to allow dressing ease, and the most common finish is a continuously bound placket above the cuff. To finish the placket, fold the band to the sleeve wrong side and barely cover the stitching line with the folded edge.

SLASHED PLACKET/ CONTINUOUS LAP PLACKET ... Check to make sure that the continuous lap placket is properly pinned and that you have left a 5/8" SA on either end of the cuff. Adjust the gathers so the fullness is distributed evenly. Using the free arm of the machine, stitch the cuff and sleeve together at 5/8" SA.
